Introduction
Learning how to recite Quran is essential for every Muslim and practicing correct recitation can lead to many benefits such as increased Taqwa, better understanding of Quran and to be on best terms with Allah. In addition, incorrect recitation is prohibited in Islam and may cause fitnah (sedition) which would result in punishment from Allah. Although there are many books available on learning Taj-weed, most of them don’t teach you how to learn tajweed online. It is my aim here to provide an online resource for students who are looking to learn quran online with correct pronunciation but don’t know where to start. I will present a step by step guide that will cover everything needed in order learn quran with tajweed.
What Is Tajweed?
When you learn how to read Quran, it’s important to make sure you’re doing so correctly. Otherwise, your recitation could actually take away from its intended meaning. That’s where tajweed comes in. Tajweed is a set of pronunciation rules that help readers pronounce words correctly when they recite Quran. Although many of these rules are rather complex and technical (and thankfully, we don’t have to worry about them), there are some basic concepts that every new reader should know before diving into learning quran with tajweed online.
